don't desPEAR

I must have opened this page to leave a comment about ten times since this event but here I am four months laterjfgshd AHHH I was really happy to see yours too!!! The coloring on this is so soft, I love how the gentle glow coming from the pear makes it look almost like something hopeful instead of terrifying hahaha. The character's expression is rather calm and mysterious, and the way they're peeking out from behind the pear makes them seem almost bonded with it, like they are its eyes and it is their mouth? I imagine them coming wordlessly out of the darkness to offer reassurance in a somewhat spooky and questionable way, haha.

The coloring feels so quiet and ethereal, I love how the purple shading and blue eyes accent the red hair and brown skin, and the soft glow reflecting on the hair and around the figure! The way the eyes and fingernails seem faded compared to the pear's shine has kind of a haunting effect too. This pear looks friendlier than a lot of the others I've seen, like a warm nightlight, especially with the little flowers around it... but I still don't trust that smile haha. It's so carefully painted though, the skin looks so shiny and translucent, and the shadows in the mouth are so carefully placed to give it that scary realistic impression while also being soft and glowing?
